Freshman thoughts on practices

Wow, practices can drain a player! We all are sore, but we are defiantly getting better as individual players and as a team. We are getting faster, stronger, and smarter. Of course, this is relating to us understanding the concept of tenacity (a quality of purpose that moves fast and strong).

As a freshman, the game of football has changed dramatically since middle school a year ago. The game is faster and harder to cope with. You got to be stronger and faster than the other team- or else... We are expected to be able to replace the seniors that we lose every year. I'm hopeful that with the proper mindset, conditioning, confidence, and skill, we can do that in (hopefully quick!) time.

Although our practices are tough and challenging, that's where we need to step up and earn our spots. there's a lot of people out there that are fighting for the few open spots. a lot of people ought to get some playing time, and give the starters a rest, and with 30 players we can be very successful this year, so long as we move with tenacity
