Game recap - Wildcats take big bite out of Fishermen

Ilwaco 7 - LaCenter 40
LaCenter - The LaCenter Wildcats scored early and often Friday night as they sent the Ilwaco Fishermen to their seventh loss of the season, 40-7. The win sets up essentially a league championship game between the Wildacts and Castle Rock next Friday for the Trico League title.
The Wildcats Dillion Kelly ran wild on the Fishermen to the tune of 253 yards and five touchdowns.
“They controlled the line of scrimmage offensively and defensively. They executed,” Ilwaco coach Kevin McNulty told the Longview Daily News following the game. “We moved the ball at times, but it was sporadic.”
Ilwaco QB Justin Short capped a nice fourth-quarter drive by scoring the Fishermen’s touchdown on a 4-yard run.
Ilwaco (0-7, 0-3) plays Columbia of White Salmon next Friday in their homecoming game.
