Game recap - Comets tame Wildcats 47-14

OCOSTA - Naselle jumped to a 27-0 half-time lead and then cruised to a 47-14 Pacific 2B League win at Ocosta Oct. 28 in the final regular season football game of the season. Next for the Comets will be a crossover game against Central League three seed Adna at Aberdeen's Stewart Field Saturday, Nov. 6. The winner of that contest will be in the state playoffs.
Chandler Chapman was the hero for the Comets as the sophomore ran for a touchdown, took a hook-and-ladder pitch for a score, and caught a TD pass from Dustin Eaton. Eaton also ran for a touchdown and Leonel Mendoza ran for two more scores. Sam Scrabeck also ran for a TD in the rout.
In other Pacific action South Bend defeated Northwest Christian 18-6 and Raymond downed North Beach 37-13.
