Week 4 preview - 9/21/07

Ilwaco @ Ridgefield, 7 p.m.

Last year, in their week 4 showdown with the Ridgefield Spudders, Ilwaco held a 14-0 lead just minutes into the third quarter. But three key turnovers cost the Fishermen as they proceeded to give up 19 straight points en route to a 19-14 loss. It was the fourth straight loss to start the season.
This year the two teams will face off with identical 1-2 records, with Ridgefield losing at home last week 28-6 to Lyndon Christian and the Fishermen also losing at home, 35-12 to Rochester. Ridgefield's lone victory came in a shootout with LaCenter, 43-36 in week 2.

Naselle @ Raymond, 7 p.m.

Turnovers also cost NHS as they lost to Raymond at home, 22-6 last year. However, The Gulls are winless so far this year and Naselle is a perfect 2-0 and getting starting quarterback Kyle Burkhalter back this week, as well as possibily some other players that have yet to play this year. Naselle is also coming off a bye last week, whereas Raymond lost to Faith Christian in Seattle in week 3.

Check back in Saturday monring for blog entries from both games.
