Week 6 game recaps

Naselle 47 - NWC 14
The Navigators may have scored first, the Comets had the last laugh as they routed their Pacific league foe 47-14. Naselle QB Austin Burkhalter had a monster game, running for two TDs, throwing for another and catching a 2-point conversion. Joining him in the offensive explosion was Alan Erickson with a 2-yard run for a score, Logan Scrabeck with a 4-yard scoring run, Jesus Martinez with a 44-yard punt return for TD, (but wait there's more), John hines caught a 33-yard scoring pass and Leonel Mendoza scored on a 32-yard run — all of this came before the Navs scored their second TD in the fourth quarter.
Once again the running game was key for the Comets as they picked up 230 of the their 331 yards on the ground. Burkhalter was particularly successful through the air as well, connecting on 5-of-8 for 101 yards. BTW, he also picked off the Navs QB for an interception. Erickson had 14 tackles on defense, and Robert Eaton added 11 more.
