The 24-0 victory was nothing to brag about. Considering we fumbled the ball 5 times. However I was thoroughly impressed with our defense. We made ourselves known early on in the season by allowing only 4 firstdowns (2 of which were off of penalties). The first defensive play of the game for us set the tone for the rest of the game when we switched to a 6 front and hit the ball carrier in the backfied for a loss of about 4 or 5 yards. On the other hand, our offense was not at its best. Plagued with fumbles and cramps, we failed to capitalize on some goal line situations. Teams should be watching out for our defense. Ilwaco gained a total of 66 yards (or something like that) and we all did our assignments. Overall we played very well but there is still a lot of work to do.
